According to reports, Apple
Pay is now the top mobile payment app in the US. For a long time, the
application designed by Starbucks was
the most popular one among consumers. In fact, this is the first time that a
generic app has overtaken the coffee company’s system in the domestic financial
market. By the end of 2019, the tech giant’s settlement solution will have 30.3
million users. This represents more than 47% of mobile payment users.
This success is largely due to the fact that it could enjoy the spread of new
point-of-sale systems that work with the NFC signals that Apple
Pay runs on.
