Boots introduces ‘quiet shopping’ slots in UK stores

Those who are unable to visit stores during usual hours will be pleased to know that Boots has introduced quiet shopping slots. At these times, its shops will be less busy.

Over 31,000 of these slots have been created for customers who wish to get products before Christmas. They are available outside of normal store hours and key workers, including NHS frontline staff and teachers, can benefit from them. This is only fair since they may also have to get items but are unable to do so during the usual opening hours.

Thus, everyone will be able to visit Boots. Besides shopping in the whole store, clients will also have the opportunity to enjoy services such as getting advice from expert pharmacists, prescription collection and access to medicines during the ‘quiet shopping’ slots. These will be operational until December in 83 outlets across the UK. Nonetheless, the slots need to be pre-booked on Boots’ website. Its shops will remain open all throughout the lockdown after being named an essential retailer by the government.

The firm’s Chief Operating Officer, Tracey Clements, advanced, “We have created a safe space for our customers and key workers, who may still wish to do some of their shopping in person”.
