The retail giant Bunnings
is quite popular in the market. The firm has recently announced that it is
going to expand its e-commerce division.
The company is going to boost its online shopping offering
soon by introducing a digital sales platform.
Thanks to this, customers will be able to buy products without difficulty from
their home and to have their items delivered to their doorstep. According to
the firm, there will be more than 60 000 products available on the computerised
system. The advantage is that some of these items cannot be found in physical
stores. Additionally, by next year clients will be able to benefit from
“click-and-collect” options so that they can get their purchases at a time
convenient for them.
The hardware chain is
also planning on building its own online marketplace. The latter will be called
Marketlink and will allow clients to access a wide range of home and
lifestyle products. Bunnings advance that since their site is the third most
visited shopping and classified site, it is an attractive platform for other
retailers to market their merchandises and services. The firm’s managing
director said, “We’ve had a very positive response from sellers and we already
have more than 8000 products ready for launch on Marketlink
in November”.
