Payment flows: carrier billing and the one-time password system

As mentioned in a previous article, there are two types of payment flows related to the carrier billing infrastructure. One of these micropayment systems is called “one-time password”. This requires the customer to enter his/her mobile number across the settlement window. After that, the server will send him/her a text message with an OTP code. It will then authenticate the user’s identity and process the payment. As such, this ensures that the system is safe. Direct operator billing offers several benefits, such as easy access to customer care, convenience and faster checkouts.
