The online retailer Bow & Drape has been acquired by an e-commerce holding company. The firm
sells customisable shirts and sweatshirts with phrases emblazoned on the front.
The buyer Win Brands
Group has been working on expanding its business in the direct-to-consumer
space. It was launched in 2017 and since then it has purchased two e-commerce
companies. One of them is a candle company from Buzzfeed. Rumours have
revealed, it is seeking to acquire as many as 25 more brands. These firms
expect to generate revenues between $5 million and $50 million each by 2025.
According to the firm, it can help online brands compete in a crowded and
competitive space by offering them a collection of shared services, like
finance, product development and marketing. The founder and CEO of Win Brands
advanced “I have 15 people at Win and any direct-to-consumer brand would
need the same 15 people to be successful”. He further said that they want to
offer special and unique brands a certain audience that will help them grow.
Speaking about this development, the founder and CEO of Bow
& Drape said that this acquisition will give her access to a
larger balance sheet and assistance with marketing and distribution.
