The e-commerce
beauty company Glossier has recently announced that it is going to open
physical outlets. It has partnered with Nordstrom to introduce pop-up stores at
several locations across the US.
This beauty brand is very famous among Gen-Z customers.
Thanks to what is considered its largest retail collaboration till date,
consumers will have the opportunity to test and purchase the very popular ‘Glossier You’ fragrance at several
Nordstrom locations. Some of these are Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Washington,
D.C., Santa Anita, California, and New York City. However, only this product
will be sold and this service is available until the 16th of
February 2020. The stores have been operational since the 3rd of
December. This move comes in time just for the holidays. As such, make sure to
stop by one of the pop-up stores while you are shopping if you are in
the area.
Speaking about the reasoning behind collaboration, in an
interview with CNBC, the founder and CEO of Glossier,
Emily Weiss, advanced, “Fragrance is an extremely personal category one that
people understandably prefer to discover in person”. She further asserted that
department stores are the largest channel for these cosmetic items; they make
up approximately 25 percent of sales in the US.
