A new study has revealed that children who are exposed to screentime for long periods are more
likely to experience some health risks. The survey was conducted by a group of child health specialists who have found
a ‘strong link’ between rising child obesity levels and frequent exposure to
social media. As such, they are warning parents to limit TV viewing and the use
of digital devices to 90 minutes per day. Moreover, the kid should be
above four years old. It was also found that interacting with social
media platforms late at night can lead to disruptive sleeping
patterns.
