Online grocery shopping: Morissons teams up with Deliveroo

In times when customers are under stay-at-home orders, getting essential pantry products can be quite difficult. As such, many people are turning towards online grocery shopping services. To help consumers out, Morissons, the supermarket chain, has collaborated with the delivery specialist Deliveroo.

How can clients benefit from this service? It is currently available from 130 Morrisons stores in the UK. As such, one in four homes in the country will be able to access it. If you live close enough to one of the participating outlets, you will have the opportunity to have your products delivered from the Deliveroo app or website. You just have to type in your postcode, select the grocery option towards the top of the screen and check what is available in your area.

Those having a Deliveroo Plus account, which costs £11.49 per month, will not have to pay extra fees since their subscription already involves free delivery and other benefits. However, others will have to settle an additional shipping charge of £4.99. To reduce contact with the driver, the products will be left at customers’ front door. Speaking about this, Ajay Lakhwani, Deliveroo’s VP of new business advanced, “With families and vulnerable people in isolation, it is more important than ever that we make sure they have access to the essential household items they need”.
