As advanced in a previous article, TK Maxx has reopened its e-commerce store. To ensure the safety
of its employees, it has changed some of its policies. For instance, only a
specific number of orders will be processed daily.
When the limit has been reached for the day, customers will
no longer be able to complete a purchase. However, they will have the
possibility of browsing the online shopping site without adding anything to
their cart. To keep clients informed, messages are being displayed across the
website. For instance, once TK Maxx
has stopped accepting orders, a text will appear saying, “We’re sorry but we
have reached our daily order limit; you can no longer add to basket. Please
come back tomorrow to place your order”.
Moreover, all employees have been given protective gear to
keep them safe. A two-metre distance is kept at all times between workers,
there is a one-way system in fulfilment centres and strict hygiene
measures have been introduced.
Additionally, TK Maxx, through its partner Hermes, has
implemented contactless delivery to limit the spread of the virus. It is also
urging clients to have their items delivered to a safe place so that couriers
do not have to be in contact with the public as they work.
