Those who are redecorating and need to furnish their home
will be pleased to know that IKEA is
re-opening. The firm has announced that it is going to open its branches in the
UK and in Ireland. However, there will be new rules that shoppers will have to
follow for safety purposes.
The opening will take place as from the 1st of
June and 19 branches will start operating. The furniture store chain announced that as part of security measures,
it is going to limit the number of clients in its outlets. Moreover, it has
requested families not to visit together if possible. Shoppers will be allowed
to bring only one other person from the same household. Children can be brought
along if special assistance is required.
Additionally, there will be a queuing system to manage entry
into the store. Inside the shop, customers will be prompted to maintain social
distancing with the help of co-workers and signage. The firm has also
announced that there will be more cleaning and sterilising.
On the 1st
of June, several retailers will start welcoming the public into their stores as
per the latest Government lockdown lifting. Other brands selling the same type
of goods as Ikea
will also reopen. They are Furniture Village and DFS.
