As advanced in a previous article, ever since the lockdown
began in Europe and the US, Primark
has not made any sales. It may be one of the companies that have suffered the
most during the pandemic since it does not have an e-commerce website. Trading
restrictions imply that there are tons of clothes and other goods piled up in
its shops.
However, it seems as if the budget fashion chain is preparing to reopen its outlets. Store
managers have a very serious task on hand: making sure that branches are ready
and safe to operate again as soon as restrictions are lifted. Along with
assistants, they are quite busy visiting sites to complete administrative work
and supervise everything.
However, Primark told Mirror Money that they will not reopen
until the security of staff and clients is ensured. A spokesperson said, “Nothing
matters more to us than the health and wellbeing of our employees and customers”.
Thus, you will be able to visit UK stores only when they “are convinced that it
is safe and right”.
Some analysts are predicting that since Primark
currently has a lot of products in stock, there is going to be a sales
bonanza when shops open again. This is one of the quickest ways to shift
excess items.
Primark
is focusing on safety first
