Usually, in summer, online shoppers can benefit from Amazon’s Prime Day sale. However, this
year, with the coronavirus pandemic, very little information about it has been
revealed.
Nonetheless, according to news reports, the e-commerce giant
is planning another event for June. A statement by USA Today advanced that it
is working on a Big Style Sale that
will take place later this month. Amazon said that it “will include
seasonally-relevant deals from both established and smaller fashion brands”.
The firm is trying to help retailers connect with its “vast global customer
base” via this event. The exact date for the sale has not been revealed yet but
sellers have been notified that it will begin on the 22nd.
Last month, The Wall Street Journal advanced that Amazon is
going to delay its annual Prime Day sales. The event will be postponed to
September after the firm returns to normal operations. However, this remains to
be seen.
The e-commerce giant has reported a massive increase
in sales this year thanks to customers having to stay at home to limit the
spread of the coronavirus pandemic. Shoppers relied heavily on online
deliveries, following which, Amazon’s
revenue during the last quarter rose by 26% to $75.5 billion.
