Apple: when will UK stores re-open?

If you have an issue with your Mac and you want an Apple Genius to look at it, then you must be in a tight spot right now. This is because all the outlets in the UK are still not operating. For how long will you have to wait?

On the 17th of May, the tech giant announced that it had re-opened 100 shops across the world. This number is now over 200. Outlets in South Korea, China, Australia, Germany, Italy, Japan and several other countries are already welcoming the public. However, the 38 Apple Stores in the UK are still closed.  Nonetheless, those living in the United Kingdom might not have to wait for too long.
According to government guidelines 'non-essential' stores may be able to reopen as from the 15th of June. Meanwhile, shops are advised to implement security measures.

As such, when the stores reopen, customers will have to expect a temperature check before entering an Apple outlet. Moreover, to maintain social distancing, the number of people allowed in the shops at one time will be limited. Restrictions are placed on opening times as well. In many countries, Apple is still recommending people to use its website and to visit the store only for appointments at the Genius Bar or to pick up ordered goods.
