The delivery company DoorDash
has introduced a new feature that will make processing orders more efficient
for both merchants and consumers. It has unveiled a tracking tool that uses a smartphone’s location data to alert a restaurant
when a customer is approaching a store. This will help clients avoid excessive
wait times while they are picking up their online orders. However,
buyers must give the firm permission to track their location. According to a
survey conducted by DoorDash,
56% of customers advanced that their take-out orders have increased in size
during the pandemic. Thus, this feature is going to be useful.
