Marks & Spencer: what does it look like post lockdown?

While most firms are now back to business, things have not returned to normal. There are some considerable changes especially in the retail sector. Let’s take a look at how shopping at Marks & Spencer is nowadays.

If you are visiting the Oxford outlet, the first thing that you will notice is how spacious it is. This may be because of the fact the store is not crowded and the firm has moved items around to ensure that social distancing protocols are respected. A number of rails and displays have been removed to that effect.

There is a hand sanitising station by the entrance for customers to use. This will make sure that their hands are clean while shopping. Moreover, plastic baskets have been replaced with metal ones to facilitate cleaning.

There is a considerable amount of signage on the shop’s floor to remind clients about social distancing and fitting rooms are closed. To make up for this, the Marks & Spencer has enhanced its bra fit tool online and staff members are available to advise clients.

Additionally, customers have 90 days to return items which will be quarantined before being displayed again. The store is encouraging consumers to settle their bill via contactless transactions. However, cash is also accepted.
