As announced in a previous article, Tesco will be reintroducing its delivery saver payment option. This
service was temporarily suspended during the lockdown.
Now, the supermarket company is making more changes as
things are starting to get back to normal. According to its statement, it has
increased click+collect slots from 660,000 before the coronavirus outbreak to
over 1.3million per week now. This means that shoppers will be able to secure a
slot in a store more easily. Additionally, considering the eightfold growth in online grocery sales since the start of
the pandemic, Tesco has increased its warehouse workforce from 12,000 to 35,000.
This will aid with managing orders processed on the Web. To further help with
that, it has also hired 4,000 more temporary drivers so that groceries and
other essential products can be shipped to customers more quickly, particularly
the 580,000 that have been self-isolating due to vulnerable health conditions.
If you are shopping as Tesco, do not forget that you can
boost your savings in stores and online by claiming Clubcard points.
This is a loyalty scheme that allows you to collect one point for every £1 you
spend. Points can also be gained through Tesco
Bank and its mobile app. Customers now have until November 30 to use
points that would have expired during the outbreak.
