The North Wales retailer Bodnant Convenience Store has designed an online shop so that
customers are able to get their groceries and other essential products more
easily.
Situated in Towyn, Conwy, the merchant used Shoply to work on its ordering app. The
latter has been of great help to both clients and firms by providing a vital
service due to the coronavirus lockdown. The application allows customers to
access groceries and other household essentials via just a few taps. The
products will be delivered to their house in less than 60 minutes. The company has
revealed that they have experienced an increase in sales thanks to this new
service.
Dave Taylor at Bodnant Stores advanced, “We’re now reaching
customers we would never have before”. He said that buying habits have changed
due to the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed, more people have turned towards e-commerce
because it is convenient and safe. As
such, the retailer, which was looking into online shopping and home delivery
for quite some time, decided to accelerate the process. They used Shoply
to set up their e-store.
The Association of Convenience Stores has reported that
member retailers are conducting 600,000 deliveries every week. This means that
more consumers are turning towards local shops.
