eBay is offering UK sellers a Managed Payments incentive

Do you know about the Managed Payments option by eBay? This is a programme that allows the platform to process settlements instead of relying on third-party providers like PayPal. This means that customers will have to enter their billing information and complete the transaction without having to leave the interface.

The e-commerce marketplace is now offering UK sellers an incentive to sign up for this Managed Payments programme. This will be for a limited time and will be based on invitation only. Eligible merchants are being given a special rate on up to 100 new listings that sell between July 13 and 23. Final value of the commission will be capped at £1 for qualifying listings.

To be considered for this Managed Payments incentive, merchants must be listed on eBay UK as a registered seller. They must have received an invitation to participate in the promotion and their address must be in areas in the European Union. Information about the impact of Brexit on this last requirement has not been disclosed. Brands should also sign up for the Management Payments option on the e-commerce marketplace website between June 29 and July 5, 2020. Sellers are also advised to read the complete terms and conditions found on eBay.
