As advanced in a previous article, Popshop Live is an
e-commerce marketplace that allows merchants to connect with customers and sell
their products via livestreamed videos. It has raised $3 million to expand its
offering.
Besides providing sellers with an innovative platform to
market their items, the firm also gives them playbook for best practices on
running their own show. This will help beginners in this domain to make the
most of the e-commerce marketplace. Merchants will have access to gamification
features, show templates, real-time performance stats and metrics
reports as well. As such, they will have detailed information on how their show
is performing across a wide range of data points.
Several firms are already benefiting from Popshop Live. One
of them is Japan LA. One of the
biggest stores there, it processed more sales on this platform than its offline
and online transactions combined on an average Saturday before the pandemic.
According to reports, it made $17,000 with more than 1,500 individual checkouts
in a single show.
Speaking about her experience with Popshop Live, Jamie
Rivadeneira, owner of Japan LA, advanced that “with the
live videos and interactive features, I’m able to respond to customers’
requests in real time, such as adding any products that the audience sees in
the show on the fly”.
