Amazon is introducing smart shopping carts in its stores

If you do not wish to wait in lines at supermarkets, you might be able to use a new shopping cart introduced by Amazon. While it looks like the regular black and green cart that can be found in other stores, it is in fact, equipped with innovative technologies which makes it ‘smart’.

Called Amazon Dash Cart, it automatically detects the items that you are getting via sensors, cameras and computer vision algorithms. As such, you are able to skip checkout line in a grocery store. Payments will be processed by attaching your credit card to your Amazon account.

The smart shopping cart is appropriate for small trips since it has room for two bags. It also has a touchscreen that allows customers to access Alexa shopping lists and a scanner for coupons. This innovative system will soon be available at Amazon's Woodland Hills, California, grocery store.

Whenever the cart can be found, there will be a QR code in the Amazon app that will let you sign in easily and begin using the basket. After that, you just have to place your bags in the cart and start shopping. When you are done picking up all the products that you need, you just have to exit the supermarket through its Amazon Dash Cart lane. Your receipt will be emailed to you.
