Along with adding hundreds of products to its food range, Marks & Spencer has teamed up with
Ocado to offer a delivery service. This extra step will allow more customers in
the UK to enjoy its meals.
Very soon, fans of the firm’s food halls will be able to
order its range for home delivery. The retail company has decided to expand its
business by taking over from Waitrose in its partnership with Ocado. These firms had been working
together for almost 20 years and now, thanks to a £750 million deal, things are
going to change.
To keep customers happy and taking a competitive stance
against the rival that it is replacing, Marks and Spencer has promised that the
range of food products that it will be proposing is going to be bigger than Waitrose.
It will have 6000 items on sale with Ocado, in contrast to the 4000 that was
previously offered.
This is a big change for Ocado and there are some concerns
that some of its shoppers would not adapt to this switch and they would stop
doing business with the firm altogether. Nonetheless, Marks
& Spencer has found a solution to this issue. Keep reading to
learn about it.
