With the holiday season coming up, Pinterest has decided to make some changes to its platform. It is
upgrading its shopping experiences and ad monetisation opportunities. As such,
those in the UK will be able to enjoy new tools that will make ‘every Pin
shoppable’.
The social media company has announced that it is opening
itself completely to advertisers. As such, advertisements will be permitted in
more locations which will allow for greater ad performance insight. This e-commerce functionality is targeting UK
consumers specifically. Thanks to this, they will be able to make purchases
within a home or fashion pin directly from a shop tab via search results or
from within boards.
Additionally, the platform will also be equipped with lens
camera visual search which will enable ads within shoppable pins itself.
This will give those in the UK the opportunity to access shopping spotlights.
This is a specifically list of goods put together by publishers and stylists
like The Anna Edit or Stylist. This feature will definitely make e-shopping
more pleasant.
Nonetheless, US consumers do not have to despair. Even if
they will not have the opportunity to enjoy the new tools mentioned above, Pinterest
has made some enhancements for them as well. Keep following this blog to learn
more.
