Pinterest: more on its improvements to its app

As announced in a previous article, Pinterest has been making some enhancements to its app. Thanks to these, UK shoppers are able to enjoy a better experience. For instance, they can access a curated list of goods within shoppable pins via a lens camera visual search.

The firm has changed things for those in the US as well. Verified merchants and Shopify retailers will also be able to discover improved ad conversion insights. This will allow them to assess the performance of their paid and organic Pinterest content in a more efficient way. Additionally, advertisers who are eligible will have the opportunity to view their best-performing pins so that they can drive sales and convert organic pins into ads. To offer a better and more seamless shopping experience, they will gain visibility on consumers’ purchase journey, from the page visits, to adding items to cart and completing the transaction.

With its growing popularity, these developments were necessary. Indeed, Pinterest has 400 million users across the world and apart from the US, the UK is now its busiest market. In a communiqué, the firm advanced, “In a year when more people than ever will be shopping online for the festive season, Pinterest can replicate that experience for consumers and retailers through curated collections and visual discovery. We’re building a place to shop online — not just a place to buy”.
