Boots announces its plans for the second lockdown

Following the government’s announcement of a second lockdown, Boots has released a statement making it clear how it is going to proceed throughout the month.

Considered an essential business, the health and beauty giant advanced that it will remain open. Thus, customers will be able to keep purchasing items such as medicines, healthcare products and toiletries. Boots Opticians and Boots Hearingcare will also be operational. Appointments for these services can be booked online. The firm’s chief pharmacist said that clients will have the opportunity to shop the whole store and that employees will be present to make sure that customers find whatever they need swiftly and safely.

While there are restrictions on some items in Wales, those in England will have the possibility to purchase everything, including baby, beauty and gift products. Beauty Specialists and Advisors are also going to be present to support customers and patients and to offer recommendations.

To maintain security in its outlets, safety measures such as PPE, social distancing and enhanced cleaning will be in place at Boots. These will ensure that consumers do not have to worry about the environment that they are shopping in. The firm also advanced that it will keep supporting “local communities with advice from our pharmacists and a range of pharmacy services”.
