E-commerce: how to build your brand awareness?

With the number of merchants joining the e-commerce sector growing, it has become more important than ever to demarcate your brand from others. Nonetheless, just having a good product is not enough in today’s time.  The success of your online store depends a lot on building your brand awareness. Keep reading to find out how to do this to help grow your customer base.

First of all, you must review your brand and campaign messaging to identify shortcomings and to see what new ideas you can introduce to extend your e-commerce reach. Moreover, the content that you post online must be creative and original and it should reflect the overall look and feel of your brand as well as your tone of voice (friendly, formal, etc.). To ensure that there are no mix-ups, make sure that you establish brand guidelines that are extended to all touchpoints.

Additionally, when making videos, include your e-commerce URLs/ app name in the content itself so that people are able to learn about your products and remember your brand. If you usually run TV advertisements, mention that you now have an e-shopping website and include a call-to-action to visit it. A good idea would be to consider media formats that enable people to perform these actions. Some examples are online video or smart TV ads that capitalise on OTT streaming audiences.
