Asda has a fast delivery service for groceries

Since there has been an increase in consumer demands, Asda has decided to launch a new delivery service. The firm promises that this solution will allow shoppers to get their groceries in as little as 30 minutes.

Following a huge surge in online orders for delivery this year, the supermarket company has deemed it necessary that people are able to enjoy speedy shipping in more outlets across the UK. Thus, it has collaborated with Uber Eats to enable that. This scheme was already available as a trial in 25 stores throughout the summer. Now, it will be extended to 100 more stores in the country. To benefit from this service, shoppers just have to sign up for the Uber Eats app. Then, they proceed in the same way as they would order meals from restaurants. They will be able to browse through 350 items such as fruits, vegetables, ready-made meals and drinks. These are both from Asda and other brands.

When the order is confirmed, an employee will pick up the products, which will then be collected by someone from Uber Eats for the delivery process. The vice president of online grocery at the firm, Simon Gregg, said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer the convenience of rapid delivery across a wide range of products to more Asda customers through the extension of our partnership with Uber Eats”.
