Morrisons will have drive-through vaccination hubs

To make sure that both customers and its staff are able to shop safely and to flatten the curve, Morrisons has decided to facilitate the injection of vaccinations. It is going to introduce drive-throughs at which people can get their shots. These will be in the car parks of three its stores.

This service will be operational as from the 11th of January. Moreover, as David Potts, the supermarket firm’s chief executive, advanced in a conference call with journalists, they have offered “another 47 subject to requirements of the country and the availability of the vaccine”. As such, more people will be able to protect themselves easily.

Nonetheless, a lot of procedures have to be respected to ensure that everything is completed in a safe way. For instance, the vaccines have to be placed in appropriate vials and then carefully injected into individual’s arms. However, officials of the NHS are working very hard to make sure that a maximum number of people are inoculated. The goal is to ensure that 13 million people are vaccinated by the middle of February. Over than one million Brits have already been injected.

Cabinet Officer Michael Gove advanced, ““We have some of the best public servants in the world working in our NHS and they are working 24/7 in order to ensure that we can inject people, whether that is in hospitals or through GPs or in other ways”.
