Burger King is testing a new loyalty program

The fast-food chain Burger King has announced that it is testing a new loyalty program for its customers using its digital ordering services.

This system is called “Royal Perks” and it allows clients to earn accrue points. These are named ‘crowns’. Nonetheless, to earn them, customers have to place their orders via the mobile app or the firm's website. For every $1 a guest spends, 10 crowns are given. These can be redeemed on future purchases and they are applicable to the whole Burger King menu. This is an added benefit since some other companies restrict rewards to certain items only. Moreover, any time someone places an order, he/she will be able to upsize his/her drinks, fries or hash browns. However, this is limited to once per day.

Additionally, this loyalty program also has a birthday reward. Instead of obtaining a coupon or freebie on their special day, guests will earn double points on their Burger King purchases throughout the whole month.

The VP of digital and loyalty at Burger King, Whitney Gretz, advanced that the launch of Royal Perks is ‘“one step in a broader journey” that is bringing the company up to date through digital platforms, a journey that also includes delivery, mobile order and pay, and ordering integration through Google’.
