Instagram is testing a new upload option for PCs

According to reports, Instagram is testing a new upload option for the desktop version of its app. This is going to be very useful for social media marketers and those looking to centralise their social posting processes.

This new option was announced by the app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi. There is a "+" icon to the top bar of the desktop version of Instagram. When users click on this, they will be able to post images or videos direct from their PC hard drive. Currently, this feature is not available but the firm has been building more functionalities for desktop computers for a while. For instance, last year, it added the capacity to view live streams. Thanks to the posting feature, users would be able to use all the options that are available in the app. These include image formatting tools and filters.

If this feature is rolled out everywhere, you will be able to upload both feed posts and IGTV content from your PC. Thanks to this, it will be easier to manage your social media content from your centralised workspace. There is no need to log in to the mobile app to post your updates on Instagram. Your images are going to be more polished.
