All across Europe, customers are turning towards cashless payments,
which shows that the industry is changing globally. Indeed, digital services are being increasingly
used. Some examples of these are online and contactless
settlement facilities. A survey called The COVID-19 Effect on European
E-Commerce and Retail looked at six European countries. It showed that there
are varying attitudes when it comes to a cashless society. For instance,
Poland has revealed to be the most enthusiastic to ditch cash
and the Netherlands is the least keen. With regards to the UK, it is right in
the middle.
