It is no surprise: the pandemic has resulted in the growth
of contactless payments. Indeed,
more and more people have been using solutions such as mobile wallets and the likes to process transactions following
lockdowns and other regulations. Nonetheless, even before the pandemic, a lot
of European countries had already started establishing a cashless society. For instance, digital payments were an important
part in the UK
finance sector. However, we should not forget that 52% of
respondents of a survey said that they have been influenced to try an e-payment
solution after the pandemic.
