Capitalising on social
commerce, TikTok has been introducing new features to make the most of this
trend. Recently, it was announced that Publicis Groupe will partner with the
social media giant.
It is the latest holding company to collaborate with TikTok.
Following this, the firm’s clients will be able to gain early access to
e-commerce products on the social media app. They will also benefit from exclusive
research on this rising trend. Additionally, Publicis Groupe is going to participate in an incubator program
called Community Commerce Sprint. This project will “inform brands’ TikTok
campaigns ahead of the holiday shopping season”.
This is just one of TikTok’s recent efforts to capitalise on
social commerce growth. For instance, last year, it partnered with Shopify so
that users could make purchases via the mobile app. In May, at the
NewFront presentation, the firm placed a lot of importance on
#TikTokMadeMeBuyIt. It advanced that this trend helps turn impressions into
purchases. On a global basis, it has partnered with WPP to be able to have
early access to products.
Speaking about this collaboration and how it is going to
benefit it, TikTok
advanced, “Publicis Groupe has large brands, medium-sized brands and smaller
brands in every category you can imagine”.
