Amazon releases a Prime Video app for Mac

Mac users finally have a Prime Video app released by Amazon and it is available for free on the App Store.

According to the firm, you can use the application to download videos on your device. This means that you will be able to view them even if you do not have an internet connection, which is pretty useful if you are on a long business trip or on vacation. Additionally, as advanced by The Verge, you will have the opportunity to choose the quality of the clip that you are accessing. The app also supports native macOS features such as Picture-in-Picture and AirPlay and it has a dedicated tab where you can rent and purchase content. However, there is one requirement: you need to make sure that you are running macOS Big Sur or later to gain access to the application.

Moreover, there is a revamped version of its Photos App. The changes allow you to search people, places and years. Additionally, the faces of people that usually appear in your pictures are shown as clickable options. If you click on them, you will be able to see all the images that they have appeared in. Amazon Photos also has a new interface and offers unlimited storage for full-resolution images.
