Trying to
make sustainable and ethical beauty brands more available, Counter Culture
Store is trying to make these items more accessible to customers by
focusing more on improving its e-commerce operations. Clients will find it
easier to buy them online.
Counter
Culture Store soft launched in June 2021. It stocked a range of sustainable and
ethical beauty brands. Many of these were independent and female-founded
and they cover skin care, body care, hair care and makeup. Consumers can
purchase more than 600 products formulated in the UK from over 70 brands.
How did the
firm choose its merchandise? Counter Culture Store took into consideration the
company’s overall ethos and business practices, such as sourcing, ingredients,
and packaging among others. Those purchasing from the online shopping
site can select filters such as ‘easy to recycle’, ‘organic ingredients’ and
‘plastic-free’. The e-commerce platform has been designed in a way that eases
navigation and offers in-depth details on each brand and its backstory.
Wendy
Martin, the co-founder of Counter Culture Store advanced that they plan on making
the consumer journey through the online shopping site more seamless. She said,
“We’re recalibrating in lots of ways right now but our focus on is on making
things easier to find and discover, whether it’s chatbox or AI to make
discovery easier”.
