UK’s famous
beach town Gloucester is getting creative with its latest alternative to
smoothen the congestion situation during the festive summer season. This
initiative taken by the town’s council is a first attempt at providing a most
pleasant beach day experience to both locals and visitors. This is why their
scheme of action has been established using Yodel. This online registering
system consists of customers being able to process and bill reservations for
parking spots up to ten days prior to their arrival. In doing so, the
application ensures that Gloucester’s residents and incoming seaside lovers
will benefit a technological advancement and up-to-date service as has
previously mentioned the mayor, Greg Verga.
In fact,
the working policy of Yodel is quite simple and easy to understand according to
the inhabitants of Gloucester. Moreover, it happens to fill in for the “first-come-first-serve”
system enforced by cash billing transactions. The only exceptions are that tourists’
beach stickers also called "non-residents’", will no more be in
activity, and any reservation cancellation or changes will not be refundable.
Moreover,
this big change in lifestyle and habits for the local community has yet to
bring results as it is expected to help the deadly traffic jam situation met by
beach goers every year. Thanks to this digital intervention, the upcoming beach season will no more be a traffic
nightmare, but fun and peaceful outing days.
