The success of Chipotle is proving that digital ordering is a beneficial revenue stream. According to an
earnings release, sales from computerised services grew by 100.7%. They
represented 15.7%, $206 million, during the first quarter of 2019. On the 12th
of March, it launched a loyalty program
that has already 3 million registered members. This will allow Chipotle to create
more targeted marketing based on data collected. Other incentives that let
the company to attract more customers are the self-service
pickup shelves in relevant restaurants and digital make lines.
