Bose has released noise-cancelling headphones

It can quite difficult to interact with someone or with a voice assistant if you are in a noisy environment. Thanks to the new headphones by Bose, this is no longer an issue.

While most noise-cancelling devices are tools that remove sound from our surroundings so that we can have a conversation in a very relaxed way, this NCH 700 series has taken things a step further. It utilises its sound reduction technology to help the person on the other end during two-way communication. These interactions also involve talking to voice assistants like Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant. It is equipped with 8 microphones. Six of these are used to reject noise. They look for sounds around you and suppress them. The other two use beam-forming tech to pick up what you are saying. As such, the other person will be able to hear you clearly without any interruptions.

The Bose NCH 700’s noise cancellation goes from 10 to 0. 10 is the highest setting that can be used to block noise. The firm calls this zero level “Transparency”. It will allow you to focus on the ambient sounds around you and will help you be more alert to your surroundings.
