Walmart has introduced a new ‘pay-at-pickup’ option

To help its customers and to reach a wider audience, Walmart has introduced a new payment option. It is a pay-at-pickup solution. This would be convenient for families using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, benefits to pay. They will be able to use this service when they collect groceries at any of the stores in Pittsburgh.

The hypermarket giant aims to open more than 3,100 pickup locations by the end of the year. The SNAP payment option will make it easier for more customers to pick up their items without leaving their car. It will work in the following way. Clients can visit the site Walmart grocery online or the mobile app. They will be required to enter their zip code and to select a local Pittsburgh outlet. They can then begin creating their shopping list. During checkout, they will have to choose “EBT” card for the payment option and a time to pick up the order.

Tom Ward, the senior vice president of Digital Operations at Walmart advance, “We are always looking at ways to make Grocery Pickup more available and accessible to customers”. He further stated that, “Access to convenience and to quality, fresh groceries should not be dictated by how you pay”.
