The supermarket company Aldi
is going to invest quite a lot of money to transform consumers’ shopping
experience in-store. The firm intends to redevelop one of its Merseyside stores
into a “multi-million pound investment” to enhance the way clients complete
purchases.
The company has just submitted plans to Wirral Council.
These reveal that it is planning to completely demolish the outlet found at Woodchurch
Road, in Prenton to build a new modern store which is going to be
considerably larger. Aldi hopes to improve customer experience with a better
layout, wider aisles and more natural lighting. Moreover, customers will be
able to enjoy a ‘Food to Go’ section
at the front of the outlet.
This decision has been taken after the firm conducted a comprehensive
survey of the building which was erected 40 years ago. It advanced that since
the store is no longer fit for its purpose, they are going to construct a
modern and more efficient one. It will have more parking slots and more space
for British meat products. There will also be an area for health and beauty
items. The regional property director of Aldi
said, “After being a part of the local community for many years, we are
delighted to announce our continued long-term investment in Prenton”.
