Alexa sent out free samples of the new Coca-Cola Energy

Did you know that Alexa sent out free samples of the new Coca-Cola product? The firm has recently launched an ‘Energy’ beverage. It has been advertised as ‘Popeye’s spinach’. However, it is just like a regular Coke but with four times as much caffeine per can. This soda is already available in more than two dozen countries.

This marketing and launch of this energy drink started with a Super Bowl commercial. Around the same time, Coca-Cola collaborated with Amazon to conclude another promotional deal. This one involved Alexa sending free samples of the beverage. People love receiving items without any charge. As such, this is a great way to attract potential customers. Moreover, with the increased popularity of voice commerce, digital assistants have become an efficient tool for raising awareness for a new product.

This is not the first time that Coca-Cola is introducing such a campaign. It is a bit similar to one it had for personalised Coke bottles in Australia. There, customers received a text message with a link to a website. They had to fill in details to have the item delivered to their home. Like Coca-Cola, several other companies are looking into the potential of voice assistant marketing for their products.
