Instacart is appointing 300,000 new full-service shoppers

In light of what is going on, Instacart has announced that it will bring on 300,000 shoppers who will help with its grocery delivery platform throughout the next three months. The San Francisco-based firm has taken this decision to cater to the rise in demands amidst the current situation.

The grocery delivery service allows buyers to get products from well-known stores such as Costco, Safeway, Kroger and others. When someone places an order, a designated shopper is going to pick up the items and get it to customers’ homes. Just a few months back, the success of this solution was dependent on clients who do not want to go to the stores. Now, Instacart has seen a rise in its order volume since grocery delivery has become a safer option nowadays.

Instacart has just released a statement in which it advanced that it is operational in more than 5,500 cities and will bring on shoppers from across the country. For instance, in California, it will take 54,000 workers and the New York company will have 27,000 more employees. Instacart has also said that the new shoppers will be offered sick pay, cleaning supplies and hand sanitiser to ensure that they are protected.
