While you can now visit clothing
stores to purchase your favourite outfits, there is a small glitch: fitting
rooms cannot be accessed until further notice. To help clients out, brands have
implemented different solutions.
If you are shopping for underwear at Marks & Spencer, you will no longer benefit from its bra
fitting service. However, the firm has an online Bra Size Calculator that you
can use at home before visiting the store. Likewise, John Lewis is offering a
wide range of virtual facilities which include nursery advice, personal styling
appointments and home design consultation. These will help clients find exactly
what they are looking for ahead of their shopping trip.
Private appointments are also being provided by Mint Velvet.
However, these are being conducted in stores itself when they are closed to the
public. Some outlets are offering personal telephone and video consultations.
The firms have made different options available to help clients enjoy their
shopping experience in the way they feel most comfortable.
The CEO and co-founder of Mint Velvet advanced, “More
than ever our stores will be the escapism our customers need”. However, she
stressed on the fact that they should “only come to store if they feel well and
confident to do so”.
