The biggest supermarket in the UK, Tesco, has announced a huge change for online shoppers. This
decision is part of plans to get back to normal after the coronavirus lockdown.
In April, after the increase in orders processed on the Web,
the firm decided to suspend its delivery
saver service. Now, the company is going to bring back this scheme. This
move comes after the government announced plans to end the shielding period for
2.2million people on August 1. In a statement, Tesco said, “as you know, we
suspended Delivery Saver payments in April, which allowed us to support 580,000
vulnerable customers with 1.1million orders” and it thanked its clients for
their patience and understanding. The firm also announced that the service will
resume as from the 1st of July.
The supermarket company said that it is going to introduce a
priority four-week slot view as from the same date. This means that customers
on the payment plan will have the opportunity to access an entire month
of slots before everyone else. As such, they will be able to secure a position
in advance. Tesco will also be
implementing more changes soon. Keep reading the articles posted on this blog
to find out about them.
Delivery
saver will be available again
