Marks & Spencer: how will it attract Waitrose customers?

As advanced in a previous article, Marks & Spencer is taking over Waitrose’s collaboration with Ocado to offer delivery services for its food range. While this is good news for some, there were concerns that a few customers will not be able to adapt to this switch.

To keep Waitrose clients happy, Marks & Spencer is offering a wider range of items. Moreover, to attract loyal fans, the retail company has been creating new goods that are direct match to those that were on offer. According to its product development team, they have been “replicating some of the brand’s most popular products, especially when it comes to larger product sizes”.

Indeed, Marks & Spencer has been focussed on offering family pack sizes, a wider range of groceries and organic products and household cleaning items as well. Some examples of the foods in its new super-sized selection are 1kg packs of dried pasta and rice, 450g packs of vegetables and 750g blocks of cheese.

The firm has advanced that more than 70 percent of its new range is already on offer in its stores around the country and there will be more coming in the following month. Nonetheless, to enjoy the home delivery service, customers have to wait till the 1st of September, even if they can already browse some of the products on Ocado’s website.

The new service will be available on September 1
