Stylebop makes its e-commerce comeback

Just recently, the High fashion online store Stylebop made its comeback! In August 2019, the firm had to file for insolvency. At the time, Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG, which was expanding its business and looking for new opportunities took over the brand. It is under this group that the relaunch was made possible.

The fashion retailer was founded in 2004 by Mario and Thorsten Eimuth. It was the first high luxury store to be introduced in Germany. Nonetheless, things did not go well for the firm. It kept suffering from continuous losses and within one year, sales fell from €44 million to €34.5 million. After that, the main owner Media Ventures decided to apply for creditor protection for Stylebop in 2019.

Now, Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG, wishing to establish a name for itself in the fashion industry has decided to relaunch Stylebop. According to reports, the basic orientation of the luxury store will be maintained. However, its brand range is going to be expanded.

John Cloppenburg, who is responsible for the re-introduction of the e-commerce shop advanced, “For the launch of Stylebop, we have drawn on our experience in setting up fashion online stores”. He says that they intend to meet customers’ special demands whether it is in terms of product selection, technology and service.
