Goop: Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand store is closed

As previous articles have advanced, the UK retail sector has taken a pretty big hit because of the coronavirus. With people being afraid of germ transmissions and not going out, online shopping is considerably growing and physical stores are having to close down. The latest shop to be affected by this is Goop. This is the new-age lifestyle brand outlet by Gwyneth Paltrow that was located in London.

All stocks have already been removed from the shop and if you pass by there, you will see that it is empty. The store offered a wide variety of products, ranging from fashion, home or beauty and wellness categories. Gwyneth Paltrow first launched Goop in 2008 in the form of a newsletter via which she was offering her fans lifestyle recommendations. However, this quickly grew into a major commercial venture. It now has four shops in the US and a global e-commerce website. The items sold at the London outlet were pretty unconventional and some people were not too happy with it. So much so that in May, two barrow-loads of manure were dumped outside the shop.

This move is quite a surprise since the celebrity has been fighting to keep Goop in business for quite a while, despite protests from others.
