Aldi is extending its click-and-collect service to more stores

You must be very busy during these upcoming days. With the festivities, there are a lot of things to do; parties to plan, buying gifts and completing all your chores. Thus, Aldi has decided to make grocery shopping a little bit easier for its customers.

The supermarket company is expanding its click-and-collect solutions across Nottinghamshire. This means that there will be eight more shops participating in the trial. Thanks to this facility, clients will be able to order a wide variety of groceries from within their house and then collect them, in pre-booked slots, from different stores across the county. Collection points are in the supermarkets’ car parks. Consumers just have to drive up there and remain in their vehicles. An employee will bring the products ordered and load them up. The whole process will be completed in a contact-free way to ensure the protection of both staff and customers.

Giles Hurley, the CEO of Aldi UK and Ireland, said that the firm’s “quality products and unbeatable prices have never been so in demand. Extending this trial is about providing thousands more of our existing customers with another convenient way to shop with us”. The supermarket company is also testing a delivery service with Deliveroo. This solution is already available at 130 of its stores.
