The proximity communication company ToneTag has introduced a new tech for businesses. Called “Voice
Commerce”, this will change the game for companies. It will allow merchants to
seamlessly implement customer interactions and create purchasing opportunities
into natural environments. As for consumers, they will have the opportunity to
complete transactions wherever they are and at any time using just their voice.
This new tech will merge digital and offline facilities.
This is because it allows retail companies to offer clients the ease,
convenience and customisation of online shopping into a physical space.
For instance customers can order and pay ahead in cafés and restaurants just by
speaking to their mobile device. Thus, when they reach the dining store, they
will not have to wait in queues to receive their food.
Moreover, this voice-based commerce service can be accessed
via several devices. For instance, it can be activated via Echo Buds or Air Pods. Thus, its makes cashierless
shopping much more accessible. The technology uses Sound Waves to generate
Audio QR. Merchants will use this medium to process the transactions. Customers
are also able to complete ‘tap and pay’ settlements from anywhere in the store.
With enhancements in Internet
of Things and connected devices, ‘Voice Commerce’ has a huge
potential.
