The supermarket company Aldi
has revealed that it is going to open ten new stores in the UK by the end of
the year. This will lead to the creation of more than 300 jobs.
The discount retailer has recently been named the UK’s
favourite supermarket, according to a research conducted by the consumer advice
company ‘Which?’. As such, shoppers are going to be pretty pleased with this
expansion, which is part of its £22million plan to build and upgrade shops in
the capital. The ten new outlets will be situated in London. It will be in areas
such as Dalston, South Harrow, and Haringey. Since Sainsbury’s is the only big supermarket in Dalston, it is expected
that the Aldi shop will be quite popular among those living there. Not only
will they have access to more affordable groceries, but there will be more job
opportunities for those looking for work in the area.
According to Aldi,
they will be recruiting employees for every level of the business. The
positions will range from shop floor posts to managerial roles. It should be
noted that the food retailer is said to be a great place workplace
option because of its staff competitive rates. It is one of the only UK
supermarkets to pay workers during their break.
