As announced in previous articles, Facebook is testing Reels in the US. According to the firm, the
decision behind this move follows users’ growing interest in videos,
particularly short-form ones. In today’s age, these account for almost half of
the time spent on the social media
platform. During its latest earnings call, Mark Zuckerberg advanced that,
“Reels was already the largest contributor to engagement growth on Instagram”.
As such, they are offering this option on Facebook so that users can share short
form videos with their different communities.
